Yellow and Black Paste Paper Design - Quarter Bound Yellow Bookcloth
This handmade pocket notebook is 14.6cm by 10.4 cm and with a depth of 1.8 cm. It is a quarter bound case binding with yellow book cloth and my own unique decorative paste paper. I have hand sewn the signatures (groups of folded paper) with Irish linen thread giving 100 pages or 200 sides of blank paper. As the paper has been cut straight from the roll the sheets still have a bit of a curvature, which should reduce with time. I chose yellow endpapers to go with the cover.
This notebook has been personally hand bound from start to finish, a true labour of love! I have finished off the covers with Renaissance wax - the same wax used by the British Library.
