Gloom Vintage Comic Cover-Recycled Paper
Gloom - The Devil’s Book appealed to my darker side! I love the image of the big red devil and his ‘system for earth folks’! It was originally published in 1922.
With this notebook I have used red book cloth to frame the front image and cover the spine and back. It’s a casebound A5 notebook, I have hand sewn the signatures (groups of folded paper) with Irish linen thread giving 144 pages of 90gsm recycled paper. I chose black endpapers to match the cover along with black endbands. For the cover print I have used 160gsm paper and treated it with a matt waterproof finish for durability.
